Rain, Rain Go AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

My blog is not really going any where this year and I do apologise for this. The reason is I am slightly overwhelmed by the rain that has hit QLD and the sheer devastation of so many areas. Today Brisbane city was evacuated, so I got sent home from work. The Brisbane river has broken its banks and it is only going to get worse. I think I will be off work for the next couple of days and can only hope that things aren't going to get as bad as what is predicted. The whole state is pretty much a natural disaster zone, lives have been lost and so many poeople have lost everything. Just want to wake up in the morning and that this has all been a bad dream.

Oh my goodness! I hope you are safe in your area! I hear the floods may head to the Gold Coast too, guess I left just in time but I feel so bad for all the destruction it has caused and the individuals who are homeless!

Thanks for all your support. So far touch wood, we have not been affected by the floods yet. It is so devastating to watch the news and see so many local landmarks you know so well flooded out. Jez and I are going to do some volunteer work for the SES on the weekend. I wish I could help now but I have been transfered to another building for work and I do work in insurance so I guess I am helping in some way.
