We woke up bright and early on Sunday morning to go on one of my favourite bush walks, at Springbrook National Park. The walk we chose was the Purling Brook Falls which is 4.5km long with 450 steps and you get to walk under a massive waterfall.
Only about 500m into the walk we met this huge goanna which stopped for some photos and then promptly climbed up the closest tree. There was a lot of Asian tourist who were a little intimidated by this guy.
Well after a very long walk we came to the glorious falls they are so breathtaking. There was even a rainbow at the bottom of the falls to make it look even prettier. I had to put the camera away when we walked under the falls as you get slightly wet.
What I also enjoyed about the day is that everyone we met on the walk stopped and had a chat with us. It made me realise that there are still happy friendly people out in the world. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoy the rest of your week.

Oh how beautiful!!! This looks like an awesome day! It's so nice when you come across friendly people hey? Doesn't happen as much as it should...
WOW! What a view! xo
How pretty! I love bushwalking, I should organise to do one in Perth soon... we did a lot in Canberra but since I've moved to Perth I haven't found the time/had the inclination. Now that wildflower season is starting, I have no excuse!
haha I would be intimidated too if I walked up on the goanna.

What a beautiful outing!! I wish there were a waterfall like that near by. I am pretty sure I would have backed off too if I saw the goanna.
That waterfall looks beautiful! xx
That is just beautiful!!! THank you for sharing these pictures. It's nice to see all the magnificent places in the world that I haven't seen, but hope to someday see. And it's funny you say that about nice people. It warms my heart so much when I meet good, sweet people randomly throughout the day. It's a nice reminder that not everyone is as vicious as the ones that make headlines on news or attack people anonymously on forums and site comments. :)
