Every month my friends and I gather for a dinner party from different places around the world. This month it was my turn and we went to China. Silly me forgot to take photos of our fine culinary skills. Instead you have drunken shots of karaoke and the remains of our deserts and a quote from our fortune cookie.

I am trying to read 52 books in a year, at the moment I am reading book 36, "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" by Mitch Albom. It is a lovely read it touches the heart and really gets you thinking. I also enjoy the Angus and Robertson Top 100 books. I always have a look through and see what has made it in. I love that some classics are still in there like Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and Little Women. One classic I have not read is The Catcher in the Rye it is next on my list. Any other good reads anyone can recommend?????

The easiest and yummiest cake you could ever make
1/2 cup of oil
2/3 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cups of self raising flour
1 teaspoon of bicarboanate soda
As easy as mixing all ingredients together and putting in oven for 30 minutes at 180
Last Weekend my Husbands Grandmother gave me her old sewing machine. It is so cute I now just need to learn how to use it. In a fortnight my Mum is back from holidays and is going to give me a helping hand with the basics. Then fingers crossed I am going to be a natural and making my own clothes before I know it.
