January Movie Reviews

New Years Eve 7.5/10
I heard this movie wasn't very good so I didn't expect much. But when a movie makes me laugh and cry, I'm pretty satisfied with it. There are a lot of plots to follow as is expected with that many big names in the movie but I found it easy to follow. I loved the reoccurring New Year, new dreams look to the future forget the past motto of the movie.

Arrietty 7.5/10
Arrietty is about tiny people living under a house. It is adapted from Mary Norton's children book "The Borrowers". The movie has beautiful animation and is set in magical gardens. This movie takes you back to your childhood and I love those type of movies.

Melancholia 7/10
The movie is about 2 sisters staying in a chalet as a new planet threatens to hit earth. It's a deep movie on so many levels. Kirsten Dunst is amazing in it. What I liked is it's not your typical Hollywood end of the world type of movie.

Puss in Boots 6/10
This is the story of how Puss got his boots. It is a tale of his adventures with Humpty Dumpty and Kitty Soft paws. There is some adult humour in it which goes straight over the kids heads. No where near as good as Shrek.

Staying In The Lines!

It has been raining for days and I had to baby sit my friends son who I normally entertain at the park. So needless to say I was freaking out about how to keep him occupied for 4 hours. When my besty came over she explained that he liked to colour in online and to go here Kea Coloring Book . Well not only was he entertained for hours so was I, here are a few of my masterpieces.
Hope you have had a fun weekend. Tell me what fun did you get up to. I am getting sick of the rain apparently it's going to rain straight for the next 20 days. I so hope they have got that wrong. Thank you so much for the lovely comments about Brendon it meant so much you are all very kind.

Sad Days

Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days but I had some terrible news this week. A really close Friend from high school passed away. Brendon was the life of a party he was the funniest person you could ever meet. When ever I think of him I smile because that's what he made me do. His drag name was Fanny Clap. Fanny was Brendon's alter ego and was even louder and funnier than Brendon. I'm going to miss them both so much, and my life is going to be that much duller with out them in it. But at least I have lots of gorgeous memories that I will never ever forget. Life is to short people, live and enjoy every moment!

Happy chinese New Year

I love Chinese New Year it's always so much fun. Our local shops provide so much entertainment with calligraphy demonstrations, lion and dragon dancing, ice carvings and cooking demonstrations just to name a few.

Jero really didn't want to play dress ups but yet again I twisted his arm. I got the giggles half way through cause some of the shots were so corny. Jero was saying this is worse than getting your wedding photos taken.

After a very entertaining afternoon we went for dinner at a local Chinese restaurant. We ordered Singapore noodles and garlic chicken. Then went home so full and very happy. Happy Chinese New year everyone I hope the year of the Dragon brings you everything your heart desires.
